General Terms and Conditions
NUNIVIA — Digital Family Products · Last updated: 14 May 2026
§ 1 Scope and contracting parties
These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter "GTC") apply to all contracts for the purchase of digital products between NUNIVIA GbR, Rathausstr. 7, 79872 Bernau, Germany, email: [email protected], website: https://nunivia.de (hereinafter "NUNIVIA", "we" or "us") and consumers within the meaning of § 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB) (hereinafter "customer" or "you").
These GTC are addressed exclusively to consumers. For entrepreneurs within the meaning of § 14 BGB, legal entities under public law, special funds under public law, and organisations (e.g. providers of child and youth welfare services, schools, associations, companies), a separate, individually agreed licence or usage agreement is required. Please direct enquiries to [email protected].
These GTC apply to the following digital products:
- NUNIVIA Internet-Schutzschild — digital guide (e-guide)
- NUNIVIA Family Home Guide — digital guide (e-guide)
- NUNIVIA Schutzwall — digital guide (e-guide)
- NUNIVIA Eltern-Kurs — online video course with a password-protected members' area
- NUNIVIA DNS-Schutz-Assistent — browser extension (beta; currently free of charge)
- Further future digital products and access on nunivia.de
Conflicting or deviating terms and conditions of the customer are not recognised unless we have expressly agreed to their validity in writing.
These GTC do not apply to free content (e.g. the family checklist, free beta access) that is made available without the conclusion of a paid contract.
§ 2 Formation of contract
The presentation of our products on nunivia.de does not constitute a binding offer, but rather an invitation to submit an offer (invitatio ad offerendum).
By clicking the "Buy now" button or an equivalent button and completing the payment process, you submit a binding offer to purchase.
The contract is concluded through our express order confirmation by email or through the provision of the download link after payment has been made — whichever occurs first.
The contract language is German. The contract text is stored. You will receive a confirmation email with a summary of your order and a link to these GTC.
§ 3 Description of services
3.1 Digital guides (e-guides)
E-guides are digital content within the meaning of § 327 para. 2 no. 1 BGB. After payment has been made, you will receive a personal download link by email. The guides may be provided as a PDF or in another digital format. They are intended exclusively for private use. We do not warrant the full compatibility of technical instructions with all device models or firmware versions.
3.2 Password-protected access / members' areas
Products such as the NUNIVIA Eltern-Kurs are provided as a digital service within the meaning of § 327 para. 2 no. 2 BGB via a password-protected area on nunivia.de. After payment, you will receive access credentials by email. The scope of services (video modules, materials, duration of access) is described bindingly on the respective product page.
We are entitled to further develop and update content technically, provided that this does not materially restrict the contractually agreed scope of services.
3.3 NUNIVIA DNS-Schutz-Assistent (browser extension)
The DNS-Schutz-Assistent is a browser extension that is provided as digital content within the meaning of § 327 para. 2 no. 1 BGB via nunivia.de or a browser extension store. It supports the automated configuration of DNS protection on compatible Fritz!Box routers in the local network.
The extension is currently in beta status and is provided free of charge (no paid contract). Detailed provisions on the beta version can be found in § 10 of these GTC. As soon as a paid version is introduced, these GTC apply in full.
The extension communicates exclusively locally with the router within your own network and does not send any router access credentials to external servers. A compatible browser (Chrome, Edge, or a Chromium-based browser) is required for use.
3.4 System requirements
To use the products, you need an up-to-date device and a stable internet connection. Depending on the product, the following are additionally required: a PDF reader or up-to-date browser with JavaScript (guides), a Chromium-based browser (extension), and, for the extension, a Fritz!Box with an accessible local user interface. We are not responsible for restrictions caused by outdated hardware, software, or unsupported router firmware.
3.5 Update obligation (§ 327f BGB)
For continuously provided digital products (in particular password-protected course access / members' areas as well as a future paid version of the browser extension), we provide updates during the contractually agreed provision period that are necessary to maintain conformity with the contract pursuant to § 327f BGB (in particular security and functional updates). You are obliged to install updates provided by us within a reasonable period. If you fail to install them, we are not liable for defects that are attributable solely to the missing update, provided that we have informed you of the availability and the consequences of a failure to install.
For one-off provided digital content (in particular downloadable e-guides / PDF guides), provision takes place as a one-off service within the meaning of § 327 para. 1 sentence 2 BGB. In principle, there is no update obligation pursuant to § 327f BGB for these one-off services. A later revised edition constitutes a separate product.
3.6 No individual advice
Our products are generally worded digital information and educational offerings for families. They do not replace individual advice in a specific case and, in particular, do not constitute legal, tax, medical, psychotherapeutic, or (social-)pedagogical advice.
In cases requiring professional assessment (e.g. specific legal questions, health symptoms, a child's psychological strain, acute risk to a child's welfare), please contact appropriately qualified professionals, counselling centres, doctors, psychotherapists, or, in an emergency, the responsible authorities (police, youth welfare office, medical emergency service). The content of our products is expressly not to be understood as a diagnosis, therapy, or legally binding information in a specific case.
§ 4 Prices and payment
The prices stated on the website are final prices in euros (€) including statutory value-added tax. Payment is due immediately upon conclusion of the contract.
Payment methods: credit card (Visa, Mastercard) via Stripe as well as other methods displayed on the checkout page.
Price changes for products not yet purchased are reserved. For concluded contracts, the price at the time of purchase applies.
§ 5 Delivery and provision
Provision takes place after successful payment confirmation. Depending on the product, the following applies:
5.1 Digital guides
You will receive a personal download link by email. The link is valid for 30 days and can be downloaded 3 times. In the event of technical problems, we will provide access again upon request.
5.2 Password-protected access
You will receive your access credentials (email address + password or activation link) by email. Access is provided for the duration stated on the product page. If you have problems with access, please contact [email protected].
5.3 Browser extension
The extension is provided via a direct download on nunivia.de or via a browser extension store. Free beta versions are available without a payment process. For paid versions, provision after successful payment constitutes delivery within the meaning of these GTC.
In no case is there any physical delivery.
§ 6 Rights of use and licence
Upon purchase (or, in the case of free provision, upon activation), you receive a simple, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right of use for private use in your own household.
The following are expressly prohibited:
- Transfer, sale, or rental to third parties
- Making publicly available (e.g. uploading to sharing platforms)
- Reproduction for the purpose of transfer
- Editing and publishing derivative works without written consent
- Commercial use without a separate written agreement
Additional provisions for software (browser extension): The browser extension may only be installed and used on your own devices. In addition, the following are prohibited:
- Decompilation, disassembly, or reverse engineering of the source code
- Modification or creation of derivative software works
- Transfer or publication of the extension outside NUNIVIA's official channels
All copyrights and other proprietary rights remain with NUNIVIA. No ownership rights to the content or the software are transferred through the purchase or free provision.
§ 7 Right of withdrawal (consumers only)
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw by means of a clear statement (e.g. by email):
NUNIVIA GbR, Rathausstr. 7, 79872 Bernau, email: [email protected]
Consequences of withdrawal
If you withdraw, we will refund all payments received from you without delay, and no later than fourteen days after receipt of the withdrawal declaration, using the same means of payment.
Expiry of the right of withdrawal — digital content (e-guides, software)
The right of withdrawal expires in the case of contracts for the supply of digital content (e-guides, browser extension) pursuant to § 356 para. 5 BGB if:
- you have expressly consented to us beginning performance before the expiry of the withdrawal period, and
- you have confirmed your knowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal through this consent.
This consent is given by means of a separate, non-preselected checkbox in the purchase process. Once the download or the extension has been provided, withdrawal is legally excluded.
Expiry of the right of withdrawal — digital services (course access)
In the case of contracts for digital services (e.g. course access, members' areas), the right of withdrawal expires pursuant to § 356 para. 4 BGB if:
- we have fully performed the service, and
- you have expressly consented to us beginning performance before the end of the withdrawal period, and
- you have confirmed your knowledge of the expiry of the right of withdrawal.
Insofar as the service has not yet been fully performed, the right of withdrawal remains in place until the expiry of the 14-day period.
You can find the full right-of-withdrawal notice at nunivia.de/widerrufsbelehrung.

Model withdrawal form
(If you wish to withdraw from the contract, please complete this form and send it back. The wording corresponds to the model withdrawal form provided on the right-of-withdrawal page.)
§ 8 Warranty and rights in respect of defects
The statutory warranty rights under German law apply, in particular §§ 327 et seq. BGB for digital products. Claims in respect of defects become time-barred pursuant to § 327j BGB within two years of provision.
Technical instructions (e.g. router configuration) are prepared to the best of our knowledge at the time of creation. As software and firmware change regularly, deviations from current user interfaces may occur — this does not constitute a defect.
In the event of defects, please first contact [email protected]. We strive for a quick and uncomplicated solution.
§ 9 Liability
We are liable without limitation for damage arising from injury to life, body, or health, as well as for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
In the case of a slightly negligent breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations), our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. In all other respects, liability for damage caused by slight negligence is excluded.
In particular, we are not liable for:
- Damage caused by the incorrect or incomplete implementation of guide instructions
- Damage to devices or networks caused by self-responsible configuration
- Failure or incompatibility of recommended third-party services
- Data loss caused by the customer's own actions
Additional provisions: browser extension / DNS configuration: The browser extension makes configuration changes to the router (Fritz!Box) at the express instigation of the user. These changes are carried out locally and without transmission to external servers. We are not liable for:
- Connection interruptions, restrictions of internet access, or network outages arising from the DNS configuration
- Compatibility problems with router models or firmware versions that are not officially supported
- Damage arising from independent modifications of the extension or the settings made
- Data loss on the router that was not caused by the extension
- Restrictions caused by internet providers, firewalls, or operating-system security software
§ 10 Beta products
Individual products are provided as a beta version (identifiable by the note "Beta" on the product page or in these GTC). The following applies to beta products:
- Beta products are provided free of charge or on reduced terms.
- There is no entitlement to permanent availability, uninterrupted operation, or a particular scope of functions.
- We reserve the right to change, restrict, or discontinue beta products at any time without prior notice.
- Beta products are provided without warranty as to completeness, freedom from errors, or fitness for a particular purpose.
- Users of beta products are asked to report errors and suggestions for improvement to [email protected].
As soon as a beta product is transferred into a paid version, this will be announced on nunivia.de in good time. Existing beta users will be informed before the introduction of a payment obligation.
The limitations of liability under § 9 apply to beta products in full.
§ 11 Data protection
You can find information on the processing of your data in our privacy policy.
We use Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.) to process payments. Details can be found in the Stripe privacy policy.
Order data is stored within the framework of the statutory retention periods (10 years pursuant to § 147 AO).
§ 12 Final provisions
12.1 Applicable law
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies exclusively, to the exclusion of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). For consumers with their habitual residence in another EU member state, mandatory consumer protection provisions remain unaffected.
12.2 Place of jurisdiction
For disputes, insofar as legally permissible, the place of jurisdiction of Waldshut-Tiengen is agreed. For consumers, the statutory place of jurisdiction applies.
12.3 Consumer dispute resolution
The EU platform for online dispute resolution (ODR platform) was discontinued by the European Commission as of 20 July 2025. A reference to this platform is therefore dispensable. We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in a dispute resolution procedure before a consumer arbitration board within the meaning of the German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act (VSBG). Contact for complaints: [email protected].
12.4 Severability clause
Should individual provisions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. In their place, a valid provision shall apply that comes closest to the economic purpose.
12.5 Reservation of amendment
We reserve the right to amend these GTC with effect for the future. For contracts already concluded, the GTC in the version valid at the time the contract was concluded apply.
12.6 Versioning and archive
These GTC are provided with a version designation (format: year-month) and a last-updated date, which is stated both in the page header and at the end of the page. The version published at the time your contract is concluded is authoritative for your contract. This version is documented as part of the order confirmation.
Earlier versions are archived and can be requested in the original text on request by email to [email protected].
Annex: Mandatory notices at checkout
These texts must be placed in the purchase process immediately before the order button.
