Is your internet connection filtering at all?
Many parents assume the router blocks "something". Usually it does not. This check runs directly in your browser and takes about ten seconds.
The check runs right in your browser: it calls two well-known adult sites (pornhub.com and xvideos.com) to see whether your connection blocks them. If a filter is active, the request never leaves your network. If it isn't, the respective operator briefly sees your IP address, and the request can show up in the logs of your router, your DNS provider or your company network. It also calls two addresses on our own site: one checks whether there is an internet connection at all, the other is one that ad blockers typically intercept — that is how we detect an unclear result. Three paths to a cleaner network at home

What happens during the check
Your browser calls test addresses
Two well-known adult domains, plus two addresses on our own site as a control. No page is opened and nothing is displayed.
An active filter stops the call
If your DNS filter blocks an address, the request never leaves your network. Without a filter, the operator in question briefly sees your IP address — as with any other page visit, and the request may end up in the logs of your router, your DNS provider or your company network.
Only you see the result
It appears immediately on this device. We do not store it — neither on our servers nor in your browser. If you have consented to anonymous analytics, all that reaches it is that a check ran and how it turned out.
What we do not do
No account, no email address, no installation. The check is pure browser code — your result never reaches us and is not stored on our side. As with any page visit, our hosting provider does technically process your IP address. Full details: privacy policy, section 5d.
Why this is free
Because your own result explains more than any sales copy. If everything gets through, you now know where you stand — and you decide for yourself whether to change anything. What we base our recommendations on is open to read.
